Call for Poster Presentations

We encourage female students, post-docs, and researchers in all areas of robotics to submit an extended abstract describing either new or published work. Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to present their research in a poster session at the workshop.

Important dates
  • Extended abstract submission: May 9 2014
  • Notification of acceptance: May 23 2014
  • Workshop date: July 12 2014, Berkeley, California, USA

  • Submission instructions
Send your extended abstract (2 pages or less) to rss14.womeninrobotics@gmail.com. Any format will be accepted. Include a cover page with the following information: author name, affiliation, email, full address, 3-5 keywords, applicant’s current level of study/career, whether this is the applicant’s first conference, whether the applicant is the author of a paper in the RSS 2014 regular conference program.

    Travel support
If the participant would like to receive travel support, one reference letter (e.g., by academic advisor) should be sent to the same email, including the participant’s name in the subject line. The reference letter should outline the impact of attending this event on the participant’s research activities and career. Note that we cannot guarantee that travel support will be available for everyone; preference will be given to students attending their first conference.
